RESOURCES

A new curriculum-aligned module for Years 7/8, 9/10 and 11/12 will be developed annually that provides students with the skills and knowledge that the agribusiness sector requires. This hands-on activity will showcase real-world case studies and the latest AgTech by industry partners.

To support the delivery of the module, the project team will visit some QLD classrooms to support student learning, whilst also providing an informal teacher professional development opportunity for supervising teachers. Additionally, online webinars and one-day teacher professional development workshops will be offered across regional and metropolitan QLD to support teacher adoption in the classroom.

2025 module

Have you ever considered how to autonomously tell the difference between fresh and wilted vegetables, or whether you have purchased coriander or parsley? Smart Sorting is a lesson that introduces students to artificial intelligence (AI) in agriculture through a practical image classification activity using Google’s Teachable Machine. Students will train a simple machine learning model to classify agricultural products and how AI is being used in Agriculture.
